Takach has written a 5 minute piece for a Minneapolis-based Horn trio (French horn, violin, piano). The piece will be premiered in Minneapolis in the fall of 2010.

As the 2009 Winner of the Rochester Choral Arts Ensemble'sCommissioning Contest, Takach is writing a new piece for the 2010-2011 season. The text is poem XXXIX of Stephen Crane's The Black Riders and Other Lines.

Takach has been chosen for the American Composer's Forum "Healing and Hope Through Song" project. Along with poet Julia Klatt Singer, he will write four pieces based on the stories and words of the patients and families of Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. These pieces will be premiered in the spring of 2011 by the Minnesota Boychoir.

Takach will be writing for the Minneapolis-based woodwind quintet Pavia Winds. The piece will be 3-5 minutes long, and the premiere will take place in Minneapolis.

Garrett Lathe, conductor of the Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota, has asked Tim to write a piece for the 2011-2012 season. The text has yet to be chosen.

Takach received a commission for the 2012 Minnesota All-State Men's Choir. The piece will be 2-4 minutes, and the text wil be chosen in collaboration with the conductor. The premiere will take place in August, 2012.
