"Where Beauty Comes From" - Completed
Takach is working with award-winning soprano Courtney Huffman (Boston, MA). He reworked his choral cycle "Where Beauty Comes From" as a set of 4 art songs for high voice and piano.

"The Dawn Brings Dew and Fire" - Completed
Mark Rohwer of Flower Mound High School (Flower Mound, TX) has commissioned Tim for a two-year project. In 2011 Tim wrote a piece for the high school men's ensemble and in 2012 he will write an SATB piece for the mixed choir.

Christmas arrangements for Horn Choir - Completed
Tim is arranging three Christmas carols for the Twin Cities Horn Sound. These will be premiered on Dec. 4 at Colonial Church in Edina.

"What I Have Done" - Completed
Andy Schroetter of New Richmond High School, New Richmond, WI, commissioned Tim to arrange his popular TTBB piece "What I Have Done" for SATB a cappella choir. The piece is a mash-up of "Amazing Grace" and "House of the Rising Sun." To be premiered in spring 2012.

"One Boy Told Me" - Completed
Garrett Lathe, conductor of the Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota, commissioned Tim to write a piece for the 2011-2012 season. The piece will be premiered in the spring of 2012, and the text is a poem by Naomi Shihab Nye.

"Untitled"
Takach has been commissioned to write an anthem to commemorate the 75th anniversary of First Lutheran Church in Columbia Heights, MN. Music director Peter Carlson, poet Julia Klatt Singer, and Takach will work together to create a text for the piece, to be premiered in April, 2012.

"Untitled"
Takach will be writing for the Minneapolis-based woodwind quintet Pavia Winds. The piece will be 3-5 minutes long, and the premiere will take place in Minneapolis.

"I Leave, She Stays" - Completed
Takach was asked by Philip Brown of Hopkins High School to write a 3-5 minute piece for the Hopkins High School Choir. The piece will be premiered in the spring of 2012. Text by Willa Cather.

"Untitled"
Takach received a commission for the 2012 Minnesota All-State Men's Choir. The piece will be 2-4 minutes, and the text will be chosen in collaboration with the conductor. The premiere will take place in August, 2012.

12-13 Young Men's Consortium
Takach is putting together a consortium of choirs to commission 3 new pieces for young men's ensembles. The pieces will be 2-3 part, two with piano and one a cappella. The pieces will be premiered by all choirs in the consotium in the 2012-2013 school year.
